FSCA actually has the nerve to have a big photo of a millipede as the splash page on their website even though literally tens of thousands of historical millipede samples are rotting away because a handful of men could not be bothered to change the stoppers for over 30 years
it sounds harsh but there is really no point in anyone doing natural history science at all if the people who get paid to curate the actual specimens don't do it. it's like throwing out dinosaur bones because they're too big
their species split only 400,000 years ago so you can see the larval traits on the one on the left (orange spiky hair) are very similar to ones that the one on the right developed, probably a kind of neoteny developed after domesticationThis post sucks sorry
